April 4, 2010 by · 1 Comment

Dumplings (for Stew or Soup)

1 1/2 cups of all purpose flour
3 teaspoons of baking powder
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1 egg
1/2 cup of milk

Mix dry ingredients together.

Beat the egg in a separate bowl and add the milk.

Stir into dry ingredients.

Drop the dumpling dough by tablespoonful onto your gently boiling thickened stew.

Cook, covered 15 minutes, turning dumplings every few minutes with a spoon.

Serve with minced parsley as a garnish if desired.
